Amazon's Donut Cafe medium roast whole bean coffee is a very smooth coffee that has barely any bitterness and a straightforward coffee taste. I didn't pick up on any fruitiness,…

Whole Foods Market Organic Vanilla Soymilk

The more I try Amazon/Whole Food's branded items, the more I'm surprised by consistently good most things are. As someone who's lactose intolerant but loves granola, I'm always looking for…

Amazon Rwanda Light Roast Whole Bean Arabica Coffee

Amazon's Rwanda whole bean coffee surprised me with how good it was. It reminded me of my favorite coffee, Shoondhisa, mostly because of how unbitter it is. The steeped coffee…

Amazon Grocery Peppermint Herbal Tea

Amazon’s spearmint tea comes in the same flimsy plastic bags as the Amazon herbal teabags. There's not much that can be said for it. It’s a solid spearmint tea if…

Amazon Happy Belly Night Time Herbal Tea

My first shipment of Amazon’s Happy Belly Night Time herbal tea bags got absolutely destroyed in transit, because the packaging’s just a light cardboard box. My second shipment that I…

Amazon Grocery Seltzer Sparkling Water

Amazon Grocery's seltzer is…well, seltzer water. There's nothing terribly special about it, except it's priced very competitively compared to supermarket seltzers. Cost: $1.31 for a 2-liter bottle (July 2025) Rating:…

New reviews every day at 11 AM.

New recipes every Friday over at GradualGastronomy.com. Posts will be sparse there as I ramp up the backlog. I'm hoping to get up to at least a two post a week cadence soon.

Feel free to subscribe, but I won't be turning on any automailers for the foreseeable future. We all get way too many emails already and I'm not planning to add another one until I have something that I feel is truly worth your time.

Not sure what something tastes like?

Me neither. Let's find out together.
