Taylors of Harrogate Lemon & Orange Black Tea

Taylors of Harrogate Lemon & Orange Black Tea

Taylors of Harrogate’s orange black tea smells kind of like Tang orange drink mix out of its package.

First steep at 212F for 5 minutes

The steeped tea still smells like Tang. Tastes like a dark black tea, maybe assam that had dried orange peel added to it. Not very complex and not very good when it’s hot.

When it’s cold, it gets really good, though. The black tea taste is lighter while the orange flavor plus the coldness turns it very refreshing. If you’re a fan of cold black tea, you should enjoy this one.

Second steep at 212F overnight (not pictured)

A nice solid second steep. Not much more to note.

First steep: One teabag with 2 cups of 212F water for 5 minutes
How I brewed it:
  1. First steep: One teabag with 2 cups of 212F water for 5 minutes
  2. Second steep: 212F overnight.
  • Cost: $22.45 for 100 teabags (April 2026)
  • Brewing time: 5+ minutes
  • Rating: 2/5
